  1. Attending a rite related to Dioskouri

    When you act, strange things happen. Yesterday I wrote Religion and theology in light of the Greek gods and now I have the chance to meet relevant people. This Sunday I will join a group of Greek polytheists (ethnic Greek religion) from Cyprus in a rite related to Dioskouri at a temple overlooking the sea.     I will stop using my legal name online. Henceforth I am identifying as “Protesilaos”. The legal name—Protesilaos Stavrou—will remain in place for practical purposes. My surname is “Stavrou” (Stávrou, Σταύρου). It is the genitive case of the given name “Stavros” (Stávros, Σταύρος), which is related to the Greek word for “cross” (σταυρός).
