August is here and so is blaugust. I stumbled upon that post in bluesky and since I want to write more, I figured I’d join. I’m already four days behind so I need to ramp up. In order to meet the goal of 31 posts, I’m going to try to do two posts a day. This aim-for-the-moon strategy has served me well in other side-quests (ha! there’s another topic). Since I need to write A LOT, I’ll start by listing all the ideas I have in my backlog here.

This is my submission for the June 2026 IndieWeb Carnival. The theme is “No way!?”, hosted by Alex Hsu. It is widely known that people don’t remember the first 1-3 years of their childhood, only have episodic memory at 3-6 years old, and only after those first 5-6 years we start to form autobiographical memories. So when one day talking to my wife I asked her about her baby memories she looked puzzled.

Mario 64 and Mario Odyssey are one of my favorite videogames. Mario Sunshine could be up there as well but my right joycon is broken and there’s a point in the game where I have to look at the sun but can’t enter first person camera mode. There’s something about the movement in those games that makes you feel badass. There’s also the fact that you can beat virtually any minion in a single bounce, but combat isn’t the main highlight in mario games. But what if it was?

I studied history at university, taught myself coding, worked as a SWE, and currently work as a Data Engineer. I also do gamedev as a hobby.
