https://bircon.berlin/ I am running a 3.5 hour Shadowdark game at Bircon. Been looking forward to it. It is a a mid-sized convention with ca. 100 games happening, mostly OSR and really varied in tone, setting and game-system. As DM you €10 voucher and automatically put into a raffle. I spend quite a bit of time preparing, totally modifying a one page dungeon, watching about 50 minutes of tips on how to DM at a Con etc. Found a bunch of nice art online which I printed and my gf made some custom…

I rail against the ways; corporations, greedflation, technology, services and the internet and quite some politics are going, with some frequency. Yet, I find myself far from hopeless. I get down at times,…
The very influential and quite entertaining article below was written by, and belong to, Dominic Humphries, the CC copyright and attribution and link to the original are at the bottom of this post. I am simply posting it on my blog because I think it is great, feel it should be seen and stumbled on by more people, and just in case his site every goes dark. Formatting still pending! In the following article, I refer to the GNU/Linux OS and various Free & Open-Source Software (FOSS) projects…
