Small update here but I changed my mind about Links. Links are GONE again. Sort of. I set up a Shaarli instance over at links.posting.haus to replace the Linkding instance that previously was parked there. Here is the bottom line: I will only be posting links over there from now on! And I plan to! Shaarli is a very neat little piece of software, very extensible and customizable. I have found myself adhering harder to the idea that each piece of [software/utility/whatever] I have does, generally speaking, one job. So I like this blog being original writing, whereas a linkblog can be just for links. I'll keep all my original writing over here, basically. Or, you know, "original". Non-link-commentary, I guess. There are other advantages to Shaarli too — I can now automatically post updates from my linkposts to mastodon and/or bluesky, via two plugins that were pretty trivial to install. I can style it as much as I want, and it runs entirely on one of my VPSes. Good stuff. I won't be…
