One tradeoff with being prolific is bloat. If you’re being prolific, and someone was to sort through your body of work, they’d find some good stuff amongst a bunch of pretty bad stuff. In other words, it’s a lot of work for them to sort through. One solution is to judge your work after they publish it, not before. Make it public in a small, quiet, surface, like a blog. If you and other people like it, polish and promote it. Make sure you’re known for your best work. Making a lot of work was just a way to sort through the bad stuff and find the good bits.
