Library Updates Next Today, we mark World AIDS Vaccine Day or HIV Vaccine Awareness Day, promoting the need for…well, you can figure that much out by the name of the event. Over my life, I have watched AIDS transition from a mysterious-but-ignored (because it happened to “those people”) death sentence to something almost reasonably treatable and survivable, meaning that we can almost certainly go further. If you like, we also have Africa Day today, commemorating the effort that has gone into producing pan-African cooperation and a common identity. Oh, and International Museum Day, this year carrying the Museums Uniting a Divided World theme. And with that, on to the week’s projects. Library Updates I needed to bump versions of Fýlakas Onomáton and Notoboto. Next It looks like library versions—of projects that might make a difference—have almost finished, so while I can’t guarantee anything specific, you can bet on my not spending time on those libraries.
