The first novel from Thrawn Trilogy was great, but flawed. It was too afraid to steer any further from The Saga. But I was so invested that very swiftly I started reading the follow-up. Dark Force Rising is more of what made Heir... great. Thrawn is still intimidating, The Gang is still great. What is better is the plot. When the first focused on building something new, this one benefits from all that and plays with. Rebellion knows that The Empire is rebuilding, and is ready to act. If you ...
