space station 13 - an amazing game i cannot stand

theres something magical about hanging out at a job or class with a chill boss, you're "supposed" to be working but you or them are simply not paid enough to care, so everyone is just occasionally doing any work and half the class is off making goofy little things imagine if that carefree attitude was captured in a sandbox where you had the tools to do so many more goofy things to annoy or make other people laughthe basic premisespace station 13 is a community run roleplaying game running on the woefully outdated BYOND engine, one so old its run on microsoft webview and has its own scripting language to write games in, known as "dream maker", as well as its own filetypes in dmi files (png with metadata) and dmm (map files)due to the variety of communities hosted under the ss13 umbrella, one server can be wildly different to another, with different histories, features, lineages, etc, but theres two major codebases the majority of servers fall intothe TG codebase, based on the TGStation…
