Lafayette Restaurant Sign – Havana, Cuba Most of my urban landscapes of Old Havana show once-grand architecture that has fallen on hard times. It’s neat photographically but rather sad. Then there are the occasional high-end establishments that have a markedly different look from the rest of the city. Today’s pictures fall in the middle, which seems less common than you would think. I love the color of this street and the intact neon sign that spans the road. It looks optimistic. And the buildings are in good shape, enough that I might be able to convince you that this is Europe. I love neon, especially its glow at night. Unfortunately, I didn’t venture out to see if this sign was working. Blog readers, you’ll love my free monthly photography magazine.
