First things first: April 2026 was a rotten month for us, as we had fail all in quick succession the dishwasher, the side mirror on my car, the lawn mower, and Megan’s car failed its annual roadworthiness test due to a rotten rear subframe. All very expensive and time consuming to fix, and it blew out almost all my free time and energy outside of erecting temporary solar panels, so I got little else of what I had originally planned done. Still, earlier today we got the last of these finally fixed which was Megan’s car, and I have regained my freedom to travel now I have my car back. Woohoo! As much as it was very annoying and expensive to fix, once the old subframe was out I was glad that it was fixed as it’s carrying around my wife and children: You can see where the join in the subframe was detaching from rust Thankfully all that is now fixed, and many thanks to my brother-in-law Donal for all his help.
