I am in the market to not get skin cancer but I loathe wearing sunscreen so I want to try becoming a big hat and long sleeve shirt* lady this summer. It has occurred to me that owning more than one (1) sun hat may make this more likely. (My other one got ruined.) *(For shirts, I tried an oversize Quince button-up, but having it unbuttoned at all meant it kept getting blown off my shoulders, so seems like a more tailored fit will be better. I have a Boden linen shirt I like so I bought another copy to serve as a sun shirt.) I’m on the hunt for a hat with a wide full brim. Since I *always* want my hair up, I am visor-curious. For a gardening hat, I want something breathable that won’t fall off my head when I tilt my head back, and doesn’t have any dangling shit that gets in my way. For a walking hat, I need a chin strap of some kind, and preferably a sweatband. Apparently, if I’m measuring correctly, I have a very small head — 21 3/8″ / 54cm — so I probably need velcro or adjustable…
