I found this part of Henrik's Substack note enlightening: As you can tell, I reached out to a lot of people early on. Whenever someone commented and said something intelligent (which is common on LessWrong) I would reach out and ask if I could get them to read the draft for my next post. I got to know a lot of people this way, which led me to be introduced to other people, and I also got a lot of valuable feedback that helped me fix some of the bigger flaws in my writing. How often do you reach out to people about their comments on or responses to your work? How often do you ask if they could read the draft for your next unit of work? How many more connections, introductions, and instances of valuable feedback can you earn this way?
