Do they define us or we define them? I wrote this post as an exercise during the IndieWebClub #26 meetup. Habits! I think habits are us putting a belief in ourselves to do better or worse. Well, at least we’ll be accountable? It is something we’ve been taught over and over since our childhood. What differentiates a bad one from a good one? No one really told us but I’m not here to talk about bad habits anyway. One of the few things I cannot handle is a messy place around me. Be it my room, my wardrobe or my desk, it’s just something I’ve always done without really thinking much. I like to keep things super organized, how’d you guess? My mom also likes to point out that I keep my room cleaner than my sister, that’s an achievement in itself! I don’t know if it’s an OCD thing or just how I’m wired and I genuinely couldn’t tell you. What I do know is that a clean space is how my brain makes peace with the world. When things around me are chaotic, at least I can control this. I don’t care…
