This is credited as the debut film/animation by director Rene Laloux. Although we see Tick-Tock (Tic-Tac) (1957), and Les Achalunés (1958) dated earlier. The story-line is that 1960, a group of inmates at a French asylum were encouraged to work together and come up with a short script/ideas for a film and/or animation.
