I was a little dubious at first, but got Mixtape by Beethoven & Dinosaur on a whim because it was on sale. Dubious because I'm not a huge music buff, and I didn't realise it was set in the 90s. I'm so glad I gave it a whirl. Mixtape is funny, sweet, and heavily driven by nostalgia. I loved the characters, the world, the art, all of it. It's a lovely game, and spending time playing through the last night of Stacy, Cassandra, and Slater's final day (as in nychthemeron, as in 24-hour period) together was a delight. Highly recommend giving it a try! They really nailed the 90s feel, I basically looked like Stacy (with long hair), and dressed like Cassandra back then. My only criticism is the lack of player agency, and that's only because I didn't realise Mixtape was a walking simulator/adventure type game.
