A Flare-Up

Today I’ve suddenly been struck with a diverticulitis flare-up. At about 4pm, I started feeling twinges and then it hit like a ton of bricks - harder and more painful than ever before. The day before my birthday, and I thought I was going to spend my birthday night in hospital.
