ThatShubham: The user must perform visual triage, identify the close icons (which are deliberately given low contrast) and execute side quests just to access the 5KB of text they came for. Ridiculous. At first I felt like screaming ‘What!?!’. But then I realised that that is exactly what I have to do every day around teatime when I access the Guardian website. It’s supposed to be my time to relax, instead it’s full of interference. That’s why I use RSS for most of my reading.
