Jimmy Miller wrote a lovely response to Sean Goedecke’s “Seeing like a Software Company,” which you know is itself riffing on James C. Scott’s Seeing Like a State. I loved Jimmy’s response, and it felt to me like it walked right up to the edge of a different conclusion, but didn’t make it all of the way there.
