this month’s Bearblog Carnival, “your favorite ______ in your niche hobby”, seems like the perfect opportunity for me to talk about my favorite independent stop-motion movies. I like animation, in general, but I'm completely and utterly obsessed with stop-motion. The amount of time, patience and care that it takes to shoot one single scene in stop-motion is reason enough for me to love it. I see them all as weirdo's passion projects (in the best way possible) and I think there's nothing not to love about that. And though I do love big productions such as Guillermo de Toro's Pinocchio, or Tim Burton's Corpse Bride, there's a special place in my heart for small movies with tiny little budgets, so I'm talking about two of those today.
