Evidently pretending to be Meta on Facebook is getting more and more difficult and these Partner Program invites are lasting shorter and shorter and one scammer changed it up a bit: The message came as they generally do – via Meta itself created by a fake account that knew they were getting deleted from Meta pretty quickly. They put their display name as a Google Sites site. Meta flagged and killed their account before I even saw the request (view request button indicates that) but there was an unclickable Google site there as the profile name. Yup, Google who we all know is Meta secretly in our hearts. So I cut and pasted that into a browser and was presented with this baddy: That is a window surrounding so many div classes with weird obfuscated names it’s hilarious: Something to note though in the previous picture is a little floating “I” in the bottom right and that sends an abuse report right to google.
