I have enjoyed my long walks and spending extra time with the birds, trees, and the lake this week.Here are my photo choices for today:Clouds….May 10, 2026Reasons to go out on a cloudy day include seeing this cooperative Mississippi Kite.First, it was one purple martin…now there are at least a dozen actively building nests in the martin houses! It’s so cool to know it wasn’t too late!The tree swallows do seem to have claimed a house or two before the martins arrived.The barn swallows seem happy with their chosen locations, under the bridge and under the dock canopies.Red-bellied woodpecker was taking food back to a nest.There are a lot more blue herons all the sudden.
