The ultimate wide toe box trail shoes – Going Topo crazy

My foray into more comfortable trail shoe choices started back in 2022 when Carmen and I discovered Topo athletic shoes. In actual fact, it really was Carmen’s spearheaded research that led us to finding what we think is the the ultimate in wide toe box shoe comfort. Getting started with a wide toe box, using the Topo Ultraventure range It started with the Topo Athletic Ultraventure Pro shoes for me. I ordered a pair in dark olive green. They came with an integrated rock plate, wide toe box, 3mm drop (offset), and a soft to medium feeling cushioned midsole. Top view of the ultraventure pro 2 Added to this, was a Vibram megragrip outsole with medium sized lugs, and gaiter attachment points at the rear.
