ARB’s first fundraiser: Complete! A huge thank-you to everyone who contributed, and to everyone who helped spread the word! We blew past our starting goal, and our first stretch goal, ending at over $7,000! What’s next: after we take care of fees, taxes, and backer rewards, ARB editors will be putting together a budget for our July 1 2026-June 30 2027 operating year. We’ll publicly list our pay-rates & procedures for articles, and will be adding a general financial transparency page to the site. Our goal is to maintain a fairly high standard of transparency about where ARB finances are going, and we’re looking forward to figuring out what we can do in terms of making the magazine really sustainable (some level of editor reimbursement) and how we can develop & improve what the magazine’s doing.
