TIME FOR A NEW THING. That new thing is this thing: following the conclusion of our time with Outlaws of Alkenstar, Amy volunteered to run a homebrewed FATE campaign for us, which system she and I have experience with but William and Isaac don’t; a fun reversal of the Pathfinder 2e dynamic! We landed on a core concept: What if Metal Gear Solid, but without all the nuance and subtext. This was really more of a Session Zero where we collaboratively built the setting and built our characters with active input from each other, which is a core mechanic of (and maybe the best part of playing) FATE; given that, this is more of a source document than a session report, and we mostly limited ourselves to High Concepts, Troubles, and our first Aspects.
