I stepped out the front door to go for my morning walk and was instantly startled. It wasn’t due to any rattling or other noise, but rather just the presence of our latest visitor. I’m pretty sure this is a gopher snake and they’re probably looking for a snack. Gopher snakes are not venomous, so no reason to go crazy around fears of dying, but it’s still a good idea to give them plenty of room to do their thing. They were gone when I returned from my walk.
