I’m going to be honest with you: I love buying stuff. I don’t do it often because I don’t like having stuff, but finding things, buying them, and then playing around with them is one of my favorite pastimes. Unfortunately, I’m not hedonistic enough to indulge this desire all the time. But my yearly theme, The Year of Art, makes it easy to justify buying a new sketchbook every couple of weeks, or trying out a new medium or a different kind of brush. I love it.
