With illustrations by Samantha Gallagher. I saw this book somewhere on the Fediverse and decided to give it a go. I like bugs. I like seeing them and taking their pictures, even though I have no idea what they are and I easily to panic when they get too close to me. This book was 100% joy. Completely wholesome. I've finally found my type of cozy reads. This guide is written by people who love bugs and their excitement is infectious. There are so many beautiful drawings and photographs of insects, but there are also plenty of pictures of people just being really excited to have spotted a bug. That might sound a little silly, I can't deny it, but it made me happy to see them. The text mostly covers the basics of bug watching: the why, how, where of it all. Some tips are only relevant for someone in the US, but at least 75% of its content is general enough to be applicable anywhere. It's suitable for beginners and inclusive too.
