Remote-work drag 0 ▲ Happiness Machines 40 minutes ago · Life · hide You open your email and the title is clear: “Congratulations! An offer from Acme, Inc. has been extended.” Celebration and awe. You were not part of these people before, you were not even in the same conversation where remote was put in place. Your six to seven hours spent per week in the subway made you resilient but unaware: there was another world out there. You walked around the streets, you passed through a few parks, and you observed: people playing tennis at 10:00AM, a few having breakfast while on a business call, others reading a book while another device of theirs played a boring, monotone conversation with their next in line. There must be something magical about working from home. Waking up in the morning close to your desk, moving a few meters from your spot towards the desk where you will spend the next few hours ahead. The expectation of not being in traffic, nor on public transportation. Your soul in place. Your mind in the game, again. Photo by John Legrand on… Commenting on Bubbles has been removed. Why?
