Weeknotes: Commando — Week 45, 2026

This has been a good week for lamb. Relatedly it’s also starting to get very cold, and I need a new winter coat! Lots of time spent working on an audit tool this week and getting good results. Bar Trench is pretty good, I understand the hype. Lots of small improvements to my Kanji study tool, including brand new mnemonics that I think are better? Partly powered by a new library for rendering ruby text (or furigana) in Markdown. Got a new homework assignment this week, this is a note to myself so that I don’t forget. Someone told me you can't get flouride in Japan. This is demonstrably untrue. Ginza was fun, and I totally agree, wearing Star Trek costumes to a Star Wars convention is a hilarious bit. Enough people have now recommended Jojo to me that I think I have to watch it? Inspired by seemingly everyone else I know, I started the new Zelda game, and my progress is slow but it all feels very satisfying. Weekend was a lot of cleaning, studying and learning. Not exciting I know but……
