another short day........

hmm.......First off, the stand offs on the back of the frog had rust on them. Removing the japanning on the frog is being a bit more stubborn than the plane body. I tired to remove the japanning with 4-0 steel wool and nada. The steel wool didn't remove one bit. I next tried a steel wire brush and got the same result on both the main casting and the frog. The japanning is scraping off easily but not as easily as I expected it to be. After two full days in the Simple Green bath I thought it would be far easier to remove the japanning. This was it for today. I spent the AM running around with my wife keeping her company. It turned out to be a me-steak and a rather large me-steak. I barely survived walking around with her at the first stop. At the 2nd one I had a coughing fit. Luckily it happened while I was alone in the car. I did attempt a little bit of walk about at a Star Bucks and kinda survived that. Coughed a little due to me walking but I didn't have a fit and embarrass myself…
