I went for a decent walk this morning along the dirt roads in the neighborhood. I woke up feeling groggy this morning and the walk helped me get my wits about me, but I ended up taking a nap for a while after the walk. While I was out and about I noticed the Santa Rita Mountains were looking quite lovely this morning. It’s a shame mining operations are taking place in those mountains; I don’t know how much of this beautiful landscape will be altered as a result of the mining. I know there’s a lot of people unhappy about the situation. I worry about the wildlife more than anything. They’re losing more and more of their natural habitat as humans encroach on just about anything they can in the desert. Although most of the wildlife isn’t receptive to the idea, I’d like to give them a hug and an apology.
