Knowember: Hello, I'm James

Robert Birming has started Knowember, a November event where bloggers all answer the same few questions so we can get to know each other. This year it's one photo and three questions, so here we go. A photo Name or nickname James! Where in the world I blog from I am based in the UK What my blog is mostly about Whatever I'm mucking around with. That's usually some home server or automation project, like my BirdNET-Pi microphone, or something I've learned how to achieve and wanted to document for the future. There's also a lot of what I've been reading and playing, National Trust days out and my Week Notes on what I've been up to. I've currently managed to write week notes without missing a single one from the start of 2026 which I am super proud of! This blog is mostly written for my own benefit so I can look back later. I find reading my really old posts back absolutely fascinating, and I can't wait to look back at my Week Notes in a decade or two! Thanks for reading this via RSS! 🧡…
