Winding down is a nice way to spin a big goof. It sounds business-like and responsible. It ignores the foolishness and the hubris that launched the idea to begin with. Elon Musk announced that Tesla is winding down its Cybertruck production line to make room for manufacturing more Cybercabs. It must be nice to have that much “fuck you money” to burn. I laughed that in the article linked above that Bloomberg is quoted as comparing the Cybertruck to the Edsel. Intriguingly we’ve seen a few more of these locally in the last few months. Even so, a flop is a flop, even if you can afford it. Thanks for reading. You can subscribe to this blog if you care to.
