compass plane rehab........

got luckyI went searching for something to soak the compass plane in and found this. I know I have some clear plastic bins somewhere but they are AWOL. I filled it with water and dumped in some Simple Green Concentrate. I'll check it in a couple of days.no Simple GreenI don't want to soak this at all. I am leery about the attachment points of the steel sole. I am not willing to chance the Simple Green loosening something up there. I will scrape the two outside faces and repaint them. I will soak the main casing, the frog, and the lever yoke.ta daI went to a True Value hardware store and I got the last can they had on the shelf. Amazon has pint cans too and they were the next option.Ran out of gas during the AM right before lunch. I felt blah and after lunch it got worse. I spent the afternoon sitting at my desk with head on it drifting in/out of sleep. Didn't cough much so at least that wasn't adding to my misery. Spent some of that time thinking about what to make next and came up…
