Consequences. Reparations. Shoring up democracy.

Legal Eagle put out this video today, November 4: “it’s good politics to punish the people who have engage in illegality” –he says there, among other things, with his whole chest. ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ In the wake of one of the most decisive rebukes of the worst of the right (Trump and all his allies and minions), more than a few people immediately took to their platforms to call for ‘unity’ and ‘bispartisanship’–supposedly ‘in service of the people’. Never mind that what the people very vocally want is fucking consequences for those who’ve been tormenting us–in many cases to outright torture and murder–and reparations for our suffering. So, while Legal Eagle speaks to the newly elected Democratic majority in Congress, I want to make the case for saving the numbers of all your electeds, from hyper local to Congress, and to make a habit of calling them often (every couple of weeks is good! whenever something is happening that you care about is good!) to remind them what you want them to…
