Doctor Who: Seven’s Sonic Seasons, Part 10 – Lost Stories Special!

A little while back we took at the first season of The Lost Stories, Big Finish’s endeavour to take the scripts and concepts of Doctor Who serials which were worked on for television but never quite made it to the screen. That first season was a bumper batch of Sixth Doctor stories, many of which were markedly better than the ones Colin Baker actually had in his televised run. Given that several of them had been developed for the original version of Season 23 before the 18 month hiatus led to a total rethink and the development of The Trial of a Time Lord, it made a lot of sense to do those Sixth Doctor stories as an initial run, in effect presenting Big Finish’s own version of the Season 23 that never was. After that, there was a First Doctor box containing Farewell, Great Macedon and The Fragile Yellow Arc of Fragrance, and a Second Doctor box containing a steaming pile of shit entitled Prison In Space (along with the pilot episode to Terry Nation’s Doctor-less Dalek series he tried…
