Today’s recording starts with the end of Deadly 60 Bites. There’s a trail for Trapped: Ever After. Then it’s The Sarah Jane Adventures – Death of the Doctor, Part 1. Sarah Jane gets a visit from UNIT and Colonel Karim, played by Laila Rouass off of Primeval. She breaks the news that the Doctor is dead. The news is brought by aliens called the Shansheeth, “known throughout the universe as the carers of the dead. It is said they trawl the battlefields of outer space, looking for heroes to bring home.” They’re giving me Skeksis vibes. Rani takes it hard. The memorial service is taking place in a UNIT base. Sarah Jane is alarmed to see UNIT are using Graske, but apparently these are Groske. The Doctor’s body is due to be launched into space. Clyde’s hand has started glowing with Artron energy, like it did the last time they met the Doctor. There’s an obligatory set of memories of the Doctor. The service is interrupted by the arrival of Jo Grant (now Jo Jones) played, of course, by Katy…
