November Mayfly

Met up early with Graham and Maran to do our regular monthly riverfly check on the Frome site. The levels are still accessible, although it’s quite a bit higher than it has been recently. I’ve noted in previous months recently that Mayfly are still appearing , and today was no exception with 15 spotted. Not a large number of species, but most of them had a score of 2, which meant we were seeing relatively healthy numbers of each one. Overall the score was 8, which is pretty good for this site.
