Ditch the process maps with work unit routing analysis (WURA) 0 ▲ Improve Something Today 54 minutes ago · Tech · hide Watch on YouTubeWork unit routing analysis is one of my secret favorite methods for quickly getting a group’s current state written up with enough detail to get into decision-making, troubleshooting, and fixing stuff. It’s a go-to when I hear people saying ‘we don’t have a process.’ That just means there a bunch of different processes and a chance to fill out a little table so we can understand and compare all of them in a reasonable way.Having tried and failed to write up this method a few times, I figured I’d explain it with a video case study. I take you step by step through how to accumulate information into one of these things, and give some ideas for lightweight analysis and observations you can make once you have the table put together.
