Weeknotes: Whiskey In The Jar — Week 44, 2026

今週って忙しかったけど、やっと終わった！良かった！ For two big pieces of work I am doing, my summary is the same: Two steps forward, one half step back and a step to the side. Progress is progress I guess. Cocktails were wonderful and we spoke openly about some personal things I think two years ago I could not. But the one-shot cocktails were the star of the show: One was an old fashioned but somehow grape flavoured?? and another was a peaty pumpkin spice latte. No, really. Kanda okonomiyaki with the boys in blue were very good. Always a pleasure, and fun to compare notes on recent industry happenings. Friday marked an emergency dinner and outing to Nakano, where I fulfilled co-star’s demand for emo songs by singing The Black Parade in the middle of a busy bar. Afterwards a lady sheepishly approached me with a request for a song I’d never heard of. I had to decline. Saturday afternoon I dressed as a time traveller and we went to Ikebukuro to check out the general vibe and to see a bunch of cosplayers. Very……
