rainy day reading

It is a rainy day in Arizona. That rates right up there with verified sightings of Sasquatch, snowballs in hell, and wins by the Arizona Cardinals. Rare. It's the perfect day for settling into a comfortable chair and reading. Speaking of reading, just yesterday, I ran across this quote by Mark Boyle from his book The Way Home: Tales from a life without technology. "I decide to take the afternoon off and to spend it reading in the sun. It is in these moments I find myself having to battle the work ethic with which I've struggled all my life, the one that has always told me that such afternoons are unproductive." I can relate. As much as I enjoy reading, doing so in the middle of the day can be a mental struggle. The result of many years of allowing lists and productivity to rule my days. If reading during the day is unproductive, I believe I will accept inefficiency on this rainy day. Cheers! 🌧️ 📚 ☕︎
