The Street Photographer – New York, New York Happy Halloween! I’m making an assumption calling this guy a street photographer, but it’s an educated guess. I actually saw him ahead of me on 5th Avenue, and I quickened my pace to overtake him so that I could make this picture. From my other photos of him, I can tell he was carrying a Nikon DSLR and some kind of Leica M camera. These are not typical tourist cameras, and Leica Ms are classic street photography gear. I pursued this photo more aggressively than usual just because he screamed New York photographer and truly looked the part. However, I figured he would understand the sentiment. Apparently, I wasn’t nearly as interesting since he made no attempt to photograph me, which is fine by me. Even though I had a Leica, the D-Lux 8 flies below the radar and looks touristy. That’s exactly the way I like to be seen. Blog readers, you’ll love my free monthly photography magazine. Signup for the free magazine to get articles and topics not…
