October 2026 In Review

Hi all! It’s the last day of the month and this means it’s time for my October recap. October was mostly a hard month, but, like I shared yesterday, it ended on a positive note. I felt unwell with a cold or other respiratory illness for most of the month. It started with a nasty cough that seems to finally be over after nearly three weeks. However, I’m still sniffing and sneezing. Thankfully none of the crippling fatigue I experienced last year. I tried to engage in meaningful activities and was moderately successful at it. I cooked or baked a few times, but not as often as I’d have liked. I also was a little crafty, mostly in very simple ways. However, because this month was so hard in terms of the bigger picture issues, I’m glad I was able to enjoy these little nuggets of creativity. My sister visited me three weeks ago. Her husband and kids came along too. It was a good visit, in that I enjoyed spending time with my nieces. Unfortunately, my sister did make a (hopefully…
