Orktober? 0 ▲ Just Needs Varnish! 2 hours ago · Gaming · hide · 0 comments Other people (notably Wudugast and IRO) really get stuck into painting orks during Orktober, but not me! So is this year any different? Are those orks you can see in the picture below? No, they’re not! Look again! They are Victorian Science Fiction/steampunk Afghans in home-built suits of steam-powered armour, ready to fend off the attacks of either Martian or British invaders (whoever is deemed most fiendish)! They are 28mm/32mm 3D printed orks I bought from Highland Gaming Miniatures. I asked for the heads to be removed from the models and HGM did an excellent job of modifying them. I wanted the heads removed so that I could add in the appropriate Afghan personality to suit my needs. I say “personality”, singular, as it was my intention to only make one figure, but more of that later! The inspiration for this figure comes from the film “Carry On Up The Khyber”, set on India’s North West frontier during the late 19th Century. He is Bungdit Dhin, fearsome chieftain of the Bhurpa… No comments yet. Log in to reply on the Fediverse. Comments will appear here.
