We're running these Houdini films not because they're scary—it's because Halloween this year marks the 100th anniversary of the great illusionist's untimely death.Houdini died on Oct. 31, 1926 at age 52 under circumstances that remain controversial.It's not my intent to explore that mystery in any great detail.
