Occasional Weeknote #36

The weather around these parts has been just amazing this past week. Cool fall evenings, but daytime temps in the 60s and sunny with a light breeze. I wish this period lasted more than a few weeks. I had a nice visit with our daughter last weekend at school. She’s taken to apartment living well and we had a nice time out hitting the farmers’ market, a record shop, and book store. We had a nice breakfast out and she caught me up on stuff at school and the college radio station. Looking forward to when I can stream her show live. I just learned about Día de Muertos de las Mascotas, Day of the Dead for Pets, where you prepare for the return of your deceased pets on the evening of October 27th and they visit between then and the morning of the 28th. The morning of the 28th also marks when our dog Shepp passed away three years ago, which hit a little harder this year as I learned about the tradition. Hey, if you’re in the US, have you voted yet?
