October ’26

I spent a lot of October with my head stuck in the sand, keeping to myself more than usual and processing some real life stuff as the days slowly started getting shorter and colder. I dabbled in a few MMOs in the past month and I’m thinking that a good chunk of my winter gaming might be spent back in the genre. Been continuing leveling up all of Teddy’s jobs in FFXIV by running daily roulettes, which are probably still my favorite part of the game. Since last month I’ve capped out Machinist, Bard, and Dark Knight. I had a blast with Machinist and Bard, but surprisingly hated my time with Dark Knight. I really enjoyed both Warrior and Paladin and I’m currently leveling Gunbreaker and having a good time with that, but something about Dark Knight just didn’t vibe with me and I can’t put my finger on what it was, exactly. Teddy has had the surname of Throatpunch for years, which is obviously an excellent name for a Monk character, however I never actually unlocked Monk until just a couple…
