About this time last year (2025), I wrote a post on this schlock horror-western, Billy the Kid vs. Dracula. Which is as dumb as its title sounds. Now, as a follow-up, I’m writing this post about this other schlock horror-western, Jesse James Meets Frankenstein’s Daughter. Which is even dumber. Why am I doing this? (I hear you all asking…) Well, Because… Well, because these two films, originally released as a double bill, are generally viewed as almost a single unit; or at least as companion pieces. Which seems to have been the purpose: Both films were shot at the same location (Corriganville Movie Ranch) at the same time, both had the same director (William Beaudine), the same production company (Circle Productions Inc.), the same release year (1966), and the same plot—how a famed Old West outlaw meets a classic horror-movie monster. You might think of these two films as The Bobbsey… No comments yet. Log in to reply on the Fediverse. Comments will appear here.
