2026 Week 44 Digest

I am going to continue being vague about my place of employment, but I think I can talk about it more generically without it being immediately obvious where I'm talking about. So suffice to say it's a sports retail store. I've never done retail before so I'm eager to get some more hands on experience, but I originally wasn't scheduled to work at all this week or next week so I'm trying to pick up shifts from other people. I also, of course, would like some additional employment income in November. It's also my first time working this kind of scheduling situation where you don't know which or how many shifts you might get. Previous job I just signed up for all shifts and worked all shifts, which at least was predictable. I'm also stressing over a financial thing that I'm going to have to consult legal aid about. If I wasn't on benefits it would be like a five minute thing to deal with so I'm kind of pissed off at just the fact that it's so unnecessarily complicated. Contents: Reading…
