A Grand Day Out #1 0 ▲ esngblog 1 hour ago · Life · hide · 0 comments With apologies to Wallace & Gromit….. Allan reports….. O what a lovely day. Had a day out with young Mr. Apps. We went out on a reconnaissance ( hope I spelled it right) run. To find a cafe when we go to Ashford or Folkestone way. Found a nice cafe of the M20 at junction 10A on the A20. This is now logged in for trips that way. Here’s the evidence! Note that Mr Apps’ breakfast is half the size of Mr Dawes’!!!!!! Then went to the Ashford International Model Railway Education Centre in Bethersden. Which is well worth a visit. It has some old layouts the have been retired and donated by there owners to the centre. Where does one start? The Gresley Beat was a crowd puller at shows, and still looks good. Pempoul was the Gravett’s first French narrow gauge layout – still inspirational, though I think their modelling skills have got even better on more recent layouts. Some Scottish N gauge layout with Crannoch. Folkestone Harbour. To close out today, a couple of anonymous layouts! No comments yet. Log in to reply on the Fediverse. Comments will appear here.
